THE ROYAL GRID

Louis XIV's academy drew the first typeface on a grid, 2304 squares to a letter, with ruler and compass: type as engineering. The construction stays visible: hairlines run on past every stroke and a compass ring marks each end.

Styles: Regular. Files: TTF for Mac, PC and websites. Commercial use is included in every licence.
