THE NO-REFLOW ONCE

Regular, Italic and Bold drawn on the same advance widths with the same kerning, so changing the weight or the style of a word in a layout moves nothing around it: no reflow, no line that suddenly breaks, no button that grows. The Linotype duplexed matrix of 1890 did this for newspapers; nobody does it for screens. This is the ONCE cut, which only a machine could make and nobody can make again. Found by measurement against 1,598 fonts (210 from the reference library, 1388 of ours) across 12 whole designs drawn from a 256-bit key; novelty 0.156, legibility 2.73 against a floor of 2.05. The key was destroyed when the build ended (fingerprint 2ffb42bbd48f024a…), the parameters were kept nowhere, and our engines refuse any later font within its radius. It cannot be made again.
